    The Harm Reduction programme promotes health protection for injecting drug users and helps to reduce the risk of passing on infections to others. Addaction Fife Specialist Harm Reduction Service offers a wider range of equipment than pharmacy based exchanges and also offers a range of other services to help reduce drug related harm including: 1:1 assessment, referral and support into treatment (only if requested).

    The Adoption Team is part of the Family Placement Service. We recruit, assess, approve and support Adopters and we undertake adoption reports.   • Advocacy for Older People

    This service provides advocates for older people who are resident in a care home or in a community hospital. To use the service the indidual must be over 65, facing a time of uncertainty, conflict or change, unable to access relevant information, in conflict with family or others or are without family or friends who are able to assist them.

  • Alateen

    Alateen is for teenage relatives and friends of alcoholics. The group holds meetings which are attended by 12 to 17 year olds. They meet to share their experiences of having, or having had, a problem drinker in their lives to help and support each other. By attending meetings, young people gain an understanding of alcoholism and feel the benefits of realising they are not alone.

    Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
