The common is managed by the Macduff Trust which was set up by the old Town Council, the original Trustees were Town Councillors. Ownership now resides with the Trust who maintain the common for public use and its special conservation value as unimproved grassland.

    Occupying a fabulous location perched above the Forth with views across to the Lothians and looking across to the volcanic rim of the Lomonds and Largo Law, this neglected area needs to be explored. The local community group CLEAR Buckhaven has been involved in planting around town. We'd like more residents and visitors to get out and about around town - on foot or on bicycle.
