  • BASE (Blind Activities, Support and Events)

A Fife based charity supporting blind and visually impaired people. We aim to empower visually-impaired people (VIP) to pursue their life with dignity and respect. We promote access to recreation and leisure to improve the quality of life. We do this by enabling VIPs to participate in and enjoy leisure pursuits, by providing funding towards transport costs to events supported by BASE, by publishing a programme of events, by recruiting guides and providing access to training for guides. If you wish to know more about BASE or would like to volunteer please contact Morag Stewart.

Our groups are a mixture of both blind and sighted travellers. You don’t even need any experience of blindness.
