We support those experiencing (or at risk of) harm, as well as raising awareness and advocating effective prevention. We’re part of the organisation, Action on Elder Abuse, who work across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we were the first charity to address elder abuse and the only charity in the UK working on the issue exclusively today
Adoption Team
The Adoption Team is part of the Family Placement Service. We recruit, assess, approve and support Adopters and we undertake Section 19 Adoption reports. We offer Adoption Counselling to adopted adults and post adoption support to adoptive families. We also offer advice and support to birth parents who are considering relinquishing their baby. The Adoption Team are on duty from 0900 to 1300 Monday - Friday and provide a voicemail service at all other times.

Arden House provides day care to elderly and Dementia service users over 6 days per week. We also have a befriending service that allows our support worker to work 1:1 in the persons own home. Arden offers a varied programme of activities and light exercise all which help to stimulate the well being of the service users. We aim try to maintain skills and tailor programmes that will benefit our service users. Arden also provides small respite breaks to carers along with a carers craft group.

We provide assistance with getting up, dressing, undressing, going to bed, personal hygiene such as going to the toilet, washing and shaving.
