At the College in Pattiesmuir, a group of young at heart elderly folk meet on a Tuesday from 10.15am to 2.45pm. Transport to and from Club is provided by volunteer drivers. Mornings are spent playing dominoes, cards or scrabble. After a three course lunch, there is some form of entertainment. Contact the Elderly has now rebranded as Reengage. It is a national charity dedicated to tackling loneliness and isolation amongst older people, through regular face-to-face contact. Supported by a network of volunteers, Contact the Elderly organises monthly Sunday afternoon tea parties for small groups of older people aged 70 and over, who live alone, offering a regular and vital friendship link every month. Our guests are transported to and from their homes by our volunteer drivers to the home of a volunteer host. There are groups in Dunfermline, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and St Andrews.
