  • BASE (Blind Activities, Support and Events)

    A Fife based charity supporting blind and visually impaired people. We aim to empower visually-impaired people (VIP) to pursue their life with dignity and respect. We promote access to recreation and leisure to improve the quality of life. We do this by enabling VIPs to participate in and enjoy leisure pursuits, by providing funding towards transport costs to events supported by BASE, by publishing a programme of events, by recruiting guides and providing access to training for guides.   • Benarty Skatepark Project

    A group of young people have been involved in the development of a new skatepark facility in the Benarty area. The Benarty skatepark will see a top class facility which has had influence from a group of young people from the four villages all along the way. It will be situated next to the new Benarty Centre The Benarty facility is one of five planned for the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area as part of an initiative launched by Cowdenbeath Area Committee.

  • BEST Healthy Weight Programme

    NHS Fife have teamed up with Fife Sports and Leisure Trust (FSLT) to implement a programme taking a fresh approach for young people between the ages of 2 - 15 years old and their families who are looking to be more healthy and active. The BEST programme will offer your child and an accompanying adult access to 12 free sessions of physical activity at any of Fife's 12 FSLT leisure centres. Housing Support Fife offers a support service to vulnerable adults living in their own tenancies in the Levenmouth area, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy. The service can be used by any vulnerable adults – single men and women, and families who have been formally referred by agencies.

    The summer months of April to October is our bowling season. There are league games on Wednesday afternoons for our senior members and a Friday night league as well. During the winter months there are plenty of social events. We are a family club and encourage new members of all ages to enjoy the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of our club.   • Ceres and District's Women's British Legion

    Royal British Legion Scotland (Legion Scotland) helps ex-services men and women of all ages across Scotland to adapt to civilian life by providing community, friendship and practical advice. From specialist pensions advice and wellbeing support, to providing a listening ear and fundraising, all our activities are about making a difference to the lives of ex-servicemen and women and their families. We meet the 3rd Tuesday of every second month in the Session Hall at 7pm.
